I recently had to have a system restore because my computer was infested with a annoying bloodhound virus. Thats all cleared up now, and security has been risen.
So i got back on ym computer and tried to play Renegade, and it said some strange error, and then said i needed Direct X 8.0a. I checked to see which version i had, and i had 9c.
Ok, well there was also a strange error, so it wouldn't do any harm re-installing the thing, that always fixes things for me (it does!). When i tried to install it, it said "SETUP has caused an error in SETUP.EXE".
Damnit. I was running low on ram, but i had just started my comp anyway (my antivirus takes up so much!) So, now i can't even install it. Damn.
But, i do remember seeing a program on a renegade/cnc site, that installs renegade without running the setup. It installs it in a normal window (similiar to windows installer). But i can't remember where i saw it, does any one here know where i could find it?
