Just wondering.
Any plans for making renguard/brenbot CD Key based instead of IP/username based? Banning on IP is suboptimal at best, and people can change their usernames at the drop of a hat.
Maybe its already there and I just didnt see it.

Not possible.

Run a full rg server, and you don't have this problem.. I run a full rg server and can ban users by their serial hash

YUP!
I do run full renguard, so I guess its not THAT big a deal. But some of our Clan servers are still not full. Wasnt there a 'bot out there at one point that DID do cd key? was it br.net?

Anyone who has been around long enough to remember the Flying Buzz trojan saved the HTML of the website and thus had literally thousands of CD keys. Wink

If I rember right thsi was a "programm" that should enable flying vehicles in the times where no Orca/Apachee was avaiable for Ren MP.
But in fact ist jsut gets your serial from the Regestry.. lol Smile
