'First of all, I'm a beta tester. I was cleaning up my pc today, and I found out in my software list I had 2 renguards (I guess the 1.03 beta version and the 1.03 normal version) installed. I uninstalled them both, because I thought it'd give errors. When I uninstalled them, they ate my Game2.exe AND game.exe Luckily I had a back-up of a game.exe, but I didn't know wheter it was the original game.exe or the RG one. It turned out to be the original one. Anyway, I downlaoded R 1.03 again, and everyhing went fine, and ran smoothly. UNTIL I joined a RG server. First of all, my name was displayed wrong. Normally it's [TRCU]BabyCatjuh but the host called me [[TRCU]BabyCatjuh. The second thing I noticed was that the host said "You need RenGuard to play on this server" and I got kicked. But I really have RG installed so I don't know wtf is wrong.. And I do't want to te-install Renegade all over again, 'cause I'll lose all my skins.. Sad

Any help?

if your RG name and game name are different you will get kicked

My RG name has always been the same as my GSA/Ren name.. how can I check if it isn't the same?

Here's how you check, look toward the bottom of the RenGuard window, it should say somethin like this, only with your WOL/GSA nick & maybe not the skins warning

[14] Trying to connect to server #1...Connected
[14] Secure link established.
[14] Welcome to RenGuard , Drkpwn3r!
[14] To launch Renegade, please click 'Renegade'.
[14] WARNING: Model Textures (Skins) have been detected on your client! You will not be able to join a pure server.

The nick should be the same as you're planning to use, otherwise it's not the same :rolleyes:

It uses my WOL nickname (BabyCatju) but it always has used that one, so that's not the problem.. 'cause it auto switches ti my GSA one when I join a GSA game, The problem is that I have RG installed and it says I haven't installed it..

Hmm...never had that happen to me, can't help ya there m8, all I can think of right off is to try reinstalling.
I'll try to put other ideas when I come up with them if that doesn't help Very Happy

If you are using The All Seeing Eye, try looking up the FAQ how to setup ASE correctly since it needs to submit the username to RenGuard.

Other than that, it should work.
