If you were the one put in charge of naming the human species (another name besides human), what would you name it?

Or to put it another way, if humans existed in another galaxay, what would be a good name to call them. (Using our English language or writing symbols, however)

This is a serious question. So don't go trying to make some kind of stupid pun like.

Personally, I'd just call them human unless they had any significant feature that could help us tell them apart from other animals.

Honestly Richard, I say we stick with the current name "humans". If we try renaming everything we'll be creating a foreign language.

There are some decent names here, but some people seem to be confused about what I asked.

I'm not asking to rename humanity, our humanity, based on what we do or what we are known to do in the past, I'm simply asking, if you were alive when they created the name human, what would be another candidate for the name.
