Don't try to look into the feature and tell us that it's the truth...

NEGATIVE you are.....

The things you say are 99% true? So I guess, you haven't seen things in your life...

I'd give a half decent reply if I could understand what you just wrote..

"You havern't seen the things in your life" <-- Whats that meant to mean?

Can someone tell me how they manage to get an FPS of 100 in multiplayer?
I got:
P4 2.8
640Mb RDram
128DDR ATI Radeon 9600pro

The most I get is 85, and that is only when a server hasn't many players in it.

You need to download a program to overclock hardware I believe, I don't know where though. There is risk to overclocking, as going too high you can fry your card.

And there's really no point in overclocking a Radeon 9200SE since it's so shitty.

First off, let me re-iterate what some people were trying to say. If someone owns a server, they are GOD on that server. They make all the rules. They say who can play on it and who can't. These are inalienable rights. You can bitch, whine, moan, and complain all you want, but the server is theirs to run HOWEVER they see fit. If they say you must run RG to play on it, then guess what? You have to run RenGuard to play on it. If they say you must put "I suck" at the end of your nickname to play, then guess what? You have to do it! The person(s) who owns the server makes the rules.

There is no doubt in my mind that RG has been a huge part of keeping Renegade from dying more quickly. I do not agree with running half-RG mode, I don't think it's very effective in providing a cheat-free game, but in most cases full RG will empty out your server. And the ones to blame for that are the ones who refuse to run it. It's all about the path of least resistance with the age/maturity level of the bulk of the community.

Anyone who says they can spot cheaters without help is 100% lying or fooling themselves. The capabilities out there are endless and immense and there is NO possible way to catch them all without outside assistance. Is RenGuard perfect? Hell no. There are loopholes out there for the hardcore, experienced cheaters. We just don't seem to have any of them here.

RenGuard wouldn't exist without the support of the community. We have been very proud to provide you this service for the last year and we will keep it up and running as long as it's needed. We still see over 10 thousand unique gamers per month using RenGuard, so we're not going anywhere, no matter what some people's opinions might be.

But what about the small percentage of folk who cannot use the program because it crashes without even running, or not being able to install it at all. What about the side effects (lag, FPS issues). FPS is really important to people with slower computers. I know it takes as much as 2 or 3 FPS off of the standard rate for some people. You might say "but I never get lag or slower FPS", well, every computer is different.

And quite to the contrary, most renegamers aren't cheating at all and letting them play till they're found or suspected to be cheating is a brilliant way of keeping the highest amount of people in a server.

With renguard, the only real problem in renegade these days is the utter repetition of every game, and the players who refuse to do things differently. It's a pity no program can be made to keep those players out of servers; if you did, though, you'd probably get rid of most of the people playing renegade period.

Your FPS can only go as high as your monitor refresh rate. To gain 100FPS, you need to have your refresh rate set to 100Hz which little monitors support.

I've had a few problems w/ Renguard but overall it's a very effective deterrent for the lame cheaters. Benefits > small hassles. Thanks Crimson!

It's probably the age group, 90% of people on this forum are younger than 18 and have the mental capacity of a 12 year old if even that.
Thats a tad mean, aint it? I mean, sure, most people are dumbasses, but do you have to be so blunt about it? ...I dont really care, just wonderin. Also, very neat Signature. I have a very slight problem with Renguard, but it has nothing to do with the whole 1 maybe 2 points of FPS it drains. When i run Blazer's Sound Rotation Mod, and Renguard, Renguard has an error allocating memory, and shuts off. Now, normally, because im one of the worst Renegade players out there, i dont get hit with !forcerg, but, i do occasionally get a few good shots in on people, and i think i was hit with !forcerg the three times it takes, back before i had Renguard on the Unrules New Maps server, which is the main one i play. Im sure the only remedy is to not run Blazer's Sound Rotation Mod, but if anyone has any info that might help even slightly, please do tell. And, to that guy that said that DeadFive had a horrible Video Card... Guess what? Ive got a much worse one, and it runs Renegade very well, despite the fact that the visuals are turned to about low-mid. Ive also run it on an ATI Radeon 7000 before, which is barely good enough to run Warcraft III, much less a First/Third Person Shooter, with graphics like Renegade's. Also, im going to repeat this question, since i posted it, and it was apperantly looked over: Do i have to notify Blazer or Crimson if i want to upload a custom Avatar Picture? Because it said so in the Rules/Welcome thread...

Download the Omega drivers. However, if you fuck your graphics card up, it is your fault.

Damn , people live for this game.
Long as they keep make mods ,and updating this shit .Renegade will be around for years to come.

Why do some of you say your pc so fast and its so great but argue over this old ass game. There are other games ,some just like renegade.
Some even better ,but this is my opinion.

I only play this game cause I bought the command and conquer collection and I wanted to see what online play was like for all the games in the collection.

Shit EA drop this game,so will westwood once they realize their gonna have to make a new game, a game on a disc not a download.

ACK your a old ass wise guy, you dont even play this game you lame.
Yeah I said it.
