Whats this about a space race? All the countrys that have space capibilitys are in on this together. No one country can take a peice of space or something in space as theirs.

[EDIT] I just read your post Drlife... There is no life on mars, plain and simple. BUT it is highly probible that there was life on mars. The only exception to there not being life on mars is if its not a carbon based life form. As you all know we are carbon based life forms as well as every other liveing thing on this planet. The gases in the atmosphere and the rust on the ground make mars none suitable for life as we know it. No if there was life that was based off of another element, like tiberuim, then you open alot of doors to life on other planets. But so far scientists have found no trace of any life on mars, only previous life.

Well anyways the movie mission to mars presents a good point, and it supports the thoery on why life on earth had such a quick evloution.
