]I don't want to see an advertisement at all.

You'd better go find another universe where advertisements aren't what pay for most websites, then.

Lmfao, when did I say advertisements from websites? Quit changing the subject. FireFox has no advertisements on it what-so-ever. I didn't say anything about websites having ads.

I've used Opera and I like it, but I prefer FireFox. Say what you will, but, FireFox to me, is the better browser.

whoa.

^^ same

When history witnesses a great change, Razgriz reveals itself,
First as a dark demon,
As a demon it uses its power to reign death upon the land;
and then it dies.

However, after a period of slumber, Razgriz returns.
This time as a great hero...

The advertisements on the free version of Opera work the same way as ads on websites do. If you click one, Opera gets paid. They're less then a cm tall, and take up less room than any of the normal toolbars that Opera or FireFox use.

Not to mention that Opera has been developing it's browser for over 10 years now. Where as FireFox was created what, 2 years ago?

I don't really care if Opera was the world's best browser right now. I'm using FireFox, not Opera.

I could use that as my argument as well.

Internet Exploder dousnt count as a major browser though

So, how is Internet Explorer, which is used by about 90%, not a major browser?

LOL
Nightma, if you look at the statistics page for a website (any phpnuke website will do), it will show you how many users were using which browser.

In many cases it's not uncommon to see even higher than 95% of people using IE.

I have Opera identifying as Internet Explorer so that websites won't attempt to tell me that I don't have the right kind of viewer to open them properly.

That only means Firefox did the same thing (roughly, they don't differ much in functionality, I think we can all agree) five times faster Cool

But that isn't true, because Mozilla was based on Godzilla and Mosaic (connected to Netscape in some way), hence the name, and Firefox is the continuation of the Mozilla browser. It's been in development much longer.

EDIT: much longer than two years, I mean.

And I'm pretty sure Netscape was the worst browser known to mankind. At least they improved on that.

They don't have to use the same browser just to improve on their methods. Mozilla started netscape, and it sucked ass. Netscape eventually went it's own direction. Now they have firefox, and it's better than netscape. Thus, improvement.

The next Netscape is going to be built around (well, actually IS being built around right now) Firefox, incase you didn't know.

I suck cock and love it... absolutely love it. And I just got banned for being too immature to be allowed to post here.

internet explorer's interface is a window, like any other window on the desktop. Its GUI is far more original than firefox, opera, or any of them. THEY ARE BASED OFF OF IE. THEY USE IE FUNCTIONALITY.

Opera was apparently released a year before IE. Well, actually it was created in 1994, but didn't have any name. Then was registered under Opera Software in 1995. According to the IE help its copyright started in 1995, don't know if that means it was released then or not(personally I can't remember using IE on our 3.11 pc, but then again I was only like 5..).
