I agree with you completely. My friend has a ME system. It is nothing but problematic.

Windows ME works on SOME systems, but that's completely rare. I've used it once, it was worse than Windows 95.

Windows ME is good because most viruses being made these days are for 2000 and XP systems. Sure it crashes now & then but most of the time it's as good as new. I use a program called fast defrag which defrags the memory & lets you shut down just about any task on the system. good for fixing slowdowns and program lockups. bluescreening really isn't preventable though

Defragmentation is almost useless on high performance computers. Many people think it helps a lot, but that's only if you have a small hard drive and a slower computer.

My Friend say a huge performance drop after 2 months of getting his new laptop.
I told him to try a defrag.
And he says it is just as it used to be!

My pc is as slow as... [insertsomethingveryslowhere].

After defragmentation it was still slow. So now i havent defragged it for 5 months now, and it's still as slow as always.
