There renegade server is the kinda like the metaphorical embodiment of the mother of all other Renegade servers.
Unfortunately they have recently been suffering from low player counts, but there server is really awesome. There moderators are pretty cool, you have to pretty much be a cheater, racist or homophobe to be banned. But they allow plenty of slack for "smack talk". Just the way I like it really, they aren't ban happy.

I was banned for killing one of their mods cloaked SBH with a lucky shot. This mod has always been on my back accusing me of cheating but not once could he explain how. Apparently my ban was under discussion privately and a few of their moderators agreed with the ban because I "shoot through walls". Most of them don't know how to hug or what it is.
But ultimately my ban has stayed permanent because I was "too cocky" with things I said in the forum, which had no relation to my own ban.
Until that point I thought they were pretty good. Now I play on Jelly and the standard of skill is a lot higher IMO.

I think you must be extremely glad you are banned then Drastic. Some things I will not talk about publicly here, but since you refuse and refuse and refuse to quit bitching and going on about it and even bringing it onto the renedrama forums the chances of us ever lifting this ban has disappeared completely. I tried helping you as did egoflux did by telling you to keep your mouth shut whilst we sorted through everything. But since our server has been listed as "shit" in your eyes, we'll do you a favour and remove the temptation for you to join our "shit" server by keeping you permanently banned.

That wasn't always true...maybe they matured over the years who knows. Their owner seemed fine though. Just some of their other mods, (including me at one point) were constantly accused of power abuse etc. Don't believe me search n00bstories for n00bfiles with their name in it! I'm sure one of them is about a guy I banned for talking trash and that was at the instruction of an admin there! That much I can testify to!
You have a God given right to be stupid. Please do not abuse this right!

No I don't think you do, hey lets bash on a server that you know nothing about currently. Sorry, maybe your tiny brain didn't realize i obviously meant the server now, not way back when. I play on the server all the time, and am a Lv2 mod right now, so ya i know alot about the servers.
You just seem to be getting WAY too worked up over this. Your little outburst there, only makes me think im right.

Tell me something I didn't already know, Kytten. Luv made it clear my ban was not getting removed before I even made that post. It shouldn't have taken you 2-3 weeks to understand that you had no proof of me cheating and that jarhead overly uses the !forcerg command. I'm not asking for my ban to be removed anymore, I just want answers as to why jarhead thinks I cheat.

Restytash was promoted to half mod just a month earlier, and he disappeared soon afterward, so there's no way to ask him what happened. It is extremely unlikely that mylumnad has admin channel logs from that long ago, or even remembers exactly why he completed the ban. If you really care enough to want your ban removed, make your own post (I'm not gonna do it for you) in the Banned section, hope that ccfan4326 has admin channel logs from back then, and that those logs either have no cheat detection events or a different IP than your own.

I wasn't really involved in the BC community until long after you left. However, after (the less-mature-than-now) vloktboky was ousted, and scrumfy was demoted, louis cracked down a bit more on the mod rules and promotion choices. Anyway, after louis started paying more attention to WoW (I'm not complaining), Whitedragon started splitting his time between WoW, finally updating SSAOW to SSGM, DA/DS, Reborn scripting, RL, etc., ccfan4326 dealt with keeping his servers paid for (among other issues), and moderation went on more fairly, but with a bit less direct oversight. After a couple of years, the admins and Renegade Division Leaders (super mods in your time) weren't around in the server (we lost one) as often, and as they were the only ones with executive power, nobody did anything to rescue the playercount except for egg098, but it was far too late for an a0 name below the first page to have any useful effect. It's sad, really, since the average skill level back when the servers were always full in 2005-6 made it extremely fun to play there, and until all the core regulars left through attrition, it was still quite enjoyable. Now, all I care to play is the occasional game in Jelly/RA, Co-op servers, and the MP-gaming Reborn server, and it didn't help that I got a poorly-made moderator !forcerg in n00bstories (which I said I wouldn't bother to contest).

I was only a trial mod back then, so I was not involved in this possible mistake. Since I don't have unban power (only !allow), and I wouldn't use it on someone else's ban anyway, only mylumnad or ccfan4326 will be able to help you now, and you'll only get their attention if you post on the BC forums. Also, anyone who wants their ban in BC removed has to bring it up themselves, ideally in a civil and descriptive post. The one and only time I started a thread myself to clear a ban on someone else's behalf was when I received his screenshot by e-mail, and the mod who had requested it verified that it was from the correct game (link). I don't mind adding a supporting post under a person's request to be unbanned if I believe the request has merit, but I always direct them to the forum and ask them to make the initial post. Anyway, there's not really much point in contesting your ban, since the server's always deserted these days, but if you want to make the effort to clear your name for the sake of your reputation, that's your prerogative, not mine.

You seem to have misunderstood; I am assuming nothing at this point. I was neither ingame nor on IRC that day, so I have no direct knowledge or IRC logs of this event. Therefore, 1. I personally cannot look deeper into this, since I have no logs or memories to examine, and 2. I am not qualified to pass judgement on you.
I am not the mod who banned you - Restytash and mylumnad banned you. Since Restytash disappeared years ago, mylumnad is the only person directly involved who might remember what happened, and possibly clear your name. Otherwise, since ccfan4326 is the server owner and may have logs from that day, he can decide to unban you if he believes you were innocent.
If you really want to be unbanned, YOU will need to register on the BC forum and make a post here. Since I am only a Half Mod, I do not have the power or influence to unban you myself, so you will have to appeal to those who do. Heck, I'll even write your post for you under the spoiler, but you'll have to copy-paste and post it yourself.

Hi, I was banned a couple of years ago, and I would appreciate it if someone would review my ban. I believe I was falsely banned, as I do not cheat in Renegade. havoc9826 provided me with this kick log:

I was told that since Restytash has not been heard from in years, I should ask mylumnad if he remembers or has logs regarding what happened that day, or ask ccfan4326 to look through his logs and see if there are any indications of me causing irregular damage. I believe there should be none, but if there are, please compare my forum IP and ISP (cpe.net.cable.rogers.com in Ottawa, Canada) to the IP listed in your logs.

Black-Cell has the best community. It's where I first played after my brother got me into Renegade online by introducing me to Black-Cell, and afterwards, it was just about the only place I played from about 2005 and on (okay, I played at Unrules New Maps for the maps, but otherwise, it Black-Cell which I considered my home server). It's got a great community and great modifications, but some of the way the server's set up I really disliked after a while after playing more original servers and realizing the game was meant to be played mostly the way it is (really, donate allowed right away plus 400 or 450 starting credits per player equals really bad game over and over and over again). Shame activity went down, becuase it was one of the best. Now, I like Jelly the best. Haven't tried Noobstories too often, but nothing bad from the times I have tried. As for bad servers, as long as the server doesn't leave you with the impression that you're in an atmosphere of a bunch of immature kids running the show, all is well to me. I've came across a few, but I can't particularly remember any one.

Devinoch's, Girv333 afterwards Renstation and then Non00bs. To be honest NoN00bs was the best community besides it had one of the best Renegade players at that time.
