So my brother got a x-box from a friend when he got a 360 and my brother bought Halo 1 and 2 I played and beat them both. Here is what I think.

Seriously, it is a okay game, but it dose nothing innovative and has no replay value at all to me. I barely wanted the finish the game, it was boring. Half-Life 2 is WAY better! In HL2 you can overturn a table and hide behind it and shoot at people, in Halo you can shoot at people and they wont die until you hit them 50 times. Everyone always goes on about how Halo is so fucking awesome and all this shit! No it is not! It is one of the worst games I ever played, and I have played some bad games.

Why do you all claim it is so awesome?
What is it about the game that is not in another FPS?
So you can dual weld big whoop-de-frigging-doo!

You go from saying it's an okay game to saying it's one of the worst you've ever played? Did you lose a match right in the middle of typing this? At least be consistent.

Try not to use the assault rifle so much and you won't have to hit them 50 times.

I agree with Viking. Halo is not a very good game at all. It is missing SO MUCH in gameplay. It is THE most overrated game in the world.

I never really liked Halo either. The single player was not very fun to play, and the multi-player was only good with over 4-6 people.

I've played my way through both Halo 1 and 2 with a mate and I found both very enjoyable.

It's got a solid thought out storyline (for a video game) and gameplay that can be both challenging and fun.

Half-life 2 on the other hand is a series of "Go here and get past the bad people/zombies" which didn't keep my interest.

Halo 2 is very very big fun when you go online on for example Xlink(which is free) and play games of (team)paintball. This absically means that you have a battle rifle and nades and a headshot with the battle rifle is an instant kill(due to reduced armor and damage multipliers). ITS HUGE FUN!

As many times as people will try, you can't compare console shooters to PC shooters. PC shooters will win hands down every time. Halo is a very good console shooter, and in terms of other console shooters it is only outdown by Gears of War in my opinion.

I quite liked Halo on PC, more than I liked the HL2 demo I downloaded and definitely more than Renegade singleplayer. Razz

Don't know about HL2 online but Gmod's netcode is horrible. CSS On the other hand is not that bad. So you can't say Sources netcode is stupid.

Uh, Gmod doesn't have its own netcode. It uses the SAME netcode as HL2DM and Counter-Strike: Source.

I love Halo! I don't think it's that great on single player, but I love playing multiplayer, even though I suck horribly at it. My friend has an Xbox and I love playing Halo 2 online. Will Halo 2 ever come out for PC?

You guys seem to have missed the actual shining part of Halo 2. Multiplayer. No one I know says that Halo or Halo 2's singleplayer is awesome. Everyone just plays through it to play through it. Then they play the multiplayer. In the summer me and 7-12 friends would go to a friends house and link a couple xboxes together and play huge Halo 2 battles. It is great fun. I mean you can have your own opinion but to discount Halo 2 and Halo because of the singleplayer. The singleplayer is not much fun at all. Just like Renegades, just like HL2s (in my opinion attack away), just like to tell you the truth most of the games I play.

Halo's single player is fun, but not that great. The reason that Halo is one of my favorite games is the multiplayer. I have always loved linking 2 xbox's together and playing 4v4 with friends or getting online with Halo 2 and playing against people. That's why it's such a great game.
Ren's still my fav multiplayer game though.
