Might want to vary the texture colour a bit. Here's the M60 and texture from Soldier of Fortune 2. Bigger texture and the model too if you want it. As you can see only 5 bullets are visible and rest are coming out of the pack. The ammo also runs out at the end of the clip, with smoke coming from the tip if you fired an odd 30 bullets without stopping. Good game engine for stuff like that.

Also, I think that is a detachable box.
