You could also turn it around and say that it at least proves that the Democrats are trying to tax themselves (=the rich) Smile

It proves nothing of the sort. Most of them don't even pay income taxes, so the government could take away 90% of the paycheck from the wealthiest of Americans and it wouldn't affect them one bit. They mostly have their money tied up in untaxable accounts and such anyway. Democrats are only compassionate when it's to their convinence, you have to remember. They wouldn't make a new tax law unless they had some way of not having to pay the taxes.
