Let's just forget how he put in for the Purple Heart for a splinter and left after 4 months while other real soldiers turned down multiple PHes to stay and fight.

So there goes his "War Hero" status.

At least he went off to war. I don't particularily like Kerry, or his counterpart, but I'm not going to let a technicality like a blotch on his record deter him from presidency.

It's irrelevant to bring up a detention you had in highschool when you're running of mayor of your city, just as it's irrelevant to bring up one (possibly more) instinces of cowardice. His war record has nothing to do with his presidency, regardless of his campaigning tactics.
