did you figure it out yet -

i rename all my stuff all the time - from my loadin screen to the names of vehicles an characters

hand of nod = gothic release
gdi barracks = house of pain
gdi & nod harvesters = money cow

i havent found an easy way to do it - you have to search thru the level edit thingy - that was mentioned in this thread

most things are in the enc section

what you are actully askin for is a strings. edit - that is what mine is -

use renegade edit tool - start it up - it will ask for a mod to edit - i put "mine" - then open that up - and go to strings section - then find the section you want to change - the loadin screen is in the "load" section

then change it to what ever you want it to say - click save then go find it-

it will be in like for instance mine is -

C:\Program Files\RenegadePublicTools\LevelEdit\mine\ALWAYS\TranslationDB

thats where you will find a strings.tb file - copy that to the renegade data folder and wola

if you make a mistake and want to go back to orginal in the game go to

C:\Program Files\RenegadePublicTools\LevelEdit\ALWAYS\TranslationDB

there is an orginal one to keep

have fun -

the editing of the words in the game is endless

i named the hottie HTGunny , mlrs - pointwhore machine - hand of nod - gothic release - harvester - money cow

just a few ideas there
