You can try enabling direct memory access on your hard disk drive for better performance. Access the device manager by right clicking my computer, properties, device manager, hard disk drive, settings tab and check if the box beside DMA is ticked. If not, tick and restart. If it's still ticked when you recheck, your hard disk supports it.

What does the "endabling dirrect memory acces on the hard disk drive" actually do to your computer? (in simple terms)
