155 mm is quite large. That is 15.5 cm wide, or about 6.33 inches. Larger than the 120mm shells fired from the largest main battle tanks, and larger than the standard 5" naval guns mounted on ships. And much larger than a soda can, which is usually around 4-5 inches in diameter. In other words, nothing to sneeze at. Especially when it only takes a very small amount of nerve agent to kill.

Quote:

If we had found a room underground stocked with many gallons of nerve agents and other WMDs, those probably would have come from Saddam's regime.

See, this is an idiotic, yet common misconception. People expect to find clearly labelled bunkers full of WMD's all in one place. The US never did that(back before our chemical weapons program was dismantled), nor did the former USSR, so what makes you think Saddam would have been that stupid? You have a clear picture in your mind of what weapons of mass destruction "should" look like, but what you don't realize is that reality is rarely as simple. Have you ever considered the possibility that Saddam mixed in small quantities of chemical warfare shells with conventional arms? We might only find the occasional WMD with each stockpile uncovered. Does that mean they were not there? No, they just weren't there in obvious locations.

Obviously, they WERE there- this shell had Iraqi markings on it, not those of some other country, and the shell had obviously been in the country for some time(like, over a decade). Funny how when the evidence plants itself firmly in front of your face you still deny its existence.

"Arms discourage and keep the invader and plunderer in awe, and preserve order in the world as well as property. Horrid mischief would ensue were (the law-abiding) deprived of the use of them." - Thomas Paine

Remember, kids: illiteracy is cool. If you took the time to read this, you are clearly a loser who will never get laid. You've been warned.
