Ok, here is what you do.
Make sure you have a valid Westwood Online username / password. If not, run register.exe in your Westwood\Internet folder.
(1) Start the game.
(2) Select Multiplayer Internet.
(3) Select Westwood Online.
(4) Pull out the menu on the left and select My Information.
(5) Clear the checkbox in front of "Automatically login with this account" (i.e. make sure there is no x in it).
(6) Click OK.
(7) Click Back, and click Back again. You are now in the main menu of Renegade again.
(8.) Select Multiplayer Internet.
(9) Select Westwood Online.
(10) Select Advanced Game Listings.
(11) A login screen appears. Type in the new WOL username and password you want to use. You write over the last username / password you used, but they do not get erased. No worries.
(12) Click Connect/OK (I am not sure what it says on the button, but it's obvious).
That's it. You are now logged in with your new username.
