Renegade is a major system resources hog! The more you can put into your system, the better performance you'll get out of the game. My sugestion is lots of RAM and at the very least an AGP 4x 64MB video card.

Renegade is hardly a resource hog...

I have a crappy computer, 700mhz, 256mb ram, 8mb vid card, with Renegade on max and I get pretty good performance.

That is EXACTLY what I have too, and it runs fine except with lag from 56k Crying or Very Sad
