Sir Phoenixx | Why don't you spam this in the correct forum? (America at War / Politics)
|
I agree this is in the wrong forum, but what’s the deal with everything being called spam lately? The word is getting way over used. Its not like he’s trying to sell you something or get you to go to his website. OT means Off Topic (I'm sure you know this) and he even has a point to his post. If the only thing that makes this spam, in your eyes, is the fact that you don’t agree with it, then you've adulterated the meaning of the word.
And now for something completely different: I did not know, until today, that the word spam originated “from a skit on the British television series Monty Python's Flying Circus in which chanting of the word Spam (trademark for a canned meat product) overrides the other dialogue.” - Merriam-Webster
Professionalism: Not only a skill set, but a mind set as well.
