Kinda but they integrated the graphics into it so that the os was useless without the gui. Btw sun...? solaris is a unix(linux's big bro) os, wich is being abandoned by sun in favor of....?Linux!! All of Sun's upcoming workstations are going to be linux based. So the question is wich person are you windows?(it's not going away....ever) or linux(wich needs lots of work to make it more user freindly). We my freinds are in a world now dominated by pc's. Even stupid people need to be able to use them. Wich is what MS markets to makes for, and linux needs to gravitate to, if it ever wants to compete with windows.
(BIG strides in the last few distros have done this but still more is needed). Even Mac os is unix based now. The days of old are long gone in having to understand how it works to use it. The day will never come when just one platform will exist.
