Sorry, ACK, but if I'm in the middle of the field and I see something that the team needs to know about, I'm not going to watch the shift key and I will use "hottie" instead of "hotwire".

You mean you look down when you're typing? Maybe I'm in the minority but I watch the screen when I type and my fingers are placed "properly" on the keyboard so I can type as fast as possible without resorting to "omg stank rsh inc omg omg inc inc omg"

Razz

I have to keep my last finger on the shift key, anyway, because that's what I have mapped for crouching and lowering altitude.

Ok I have had enough of the Nod verses NOD posts, I can't let this one go.

If you are in game you have to use the shift key to type STank, you don't if you type stank.

Hence all in game abbreviations are lower case.

$5 says I can type "STank" faster than you can type "stank."

Let's see:

OMG stank rush inc defend AGT

Oh my god Stealth tank rush incoming, defend the Advanced (this is the point where you get run over by a stealth tank and can't send the message) Guard Tower.

Don't forget, most of that stuff can be typed within a second or two at the most... Negating the need for shortened versions of all but the longest names.
