I'm surprised no-ones mentioned this, but to get an elevator to your level you simply stand beside the doors and do nothing, don't press anything.

Bustin, did you say it wouldn't work until you got the internet patch? That seems strange.

And the door being a different texture makes me think you had an errorneous install of either the game or, more likely, a rare level/script bug that could be fixed by replaying the mission from the start.

Kriegerv you go to the main entrance of the Hand of Nod (where the big door is that needs a green keycard to unlock, and the 2 elevators and the passageway between them) then from facing the elevators and the passageway, take the elevator to the left of the passageway. That leads you to the top of the building. A cutscene comes and there's a green keycard you can use to exit the Hon from the front side, or simply go down the side of the building (commando style Wink

) and get to the back of the Cargo Plane without having to fight Mendoza. Be careful though because there's a rocket soldier on the side balcony on the Hon that could even kill you with 1 shot so take him out before you go down the side of the building.
