Yet another tale in the never ending saga of 0wn4g3:

last night I join FOD infantry only server. This is a well moderated server, and I enjoy going there. I am on GDI on Walls Flying. NAILDX is on Nod, and we have played each other before, so we know each others style. I figure it's goingto be a knockdown, dragout fight with Techs attempting to take out barracks / Hon. I am right, and Nod is a bit more organized at first. They have two techs attempting destruction of the barracks. Jirox, and NAILDX are supporting each other well, and almost take us out of the game early. KIRBY098 to the rescue! I spend the first 30 minutes of the game in a seesaw battle with NAIL, using techs. I am fairly successful in getting into the hand 3 times, and disarming, but for some reason the c-4 never takes out the building entirely. (Placement is key when c-4ing boys and girls.) Freaking lag drags me sideways when placing, and the c4 never lands corrrectly.

The n00bs on my team spend most of the game typing LOL, and thinking it's a sniper game while NAIL, Jirox and I are slugging it out in the trenches.

Suddenly, for some unknown reason NAIL switches to sniper, and Jirox announces that he's leaving and wants permission to place nukes so he can watch them go off  . OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS!!!

Rapidly I switch to Hotwire, and head for the hand. Unbeleivably they have left the window ramp unmined, and I hop in while nukes are going off like mad. I disarm, waiting for the inevitable shotgunner in the back attack, but it never comes!

I place all c-4, and wait...........

Boom! Boom, Boom!

"Hand of Nod destroyed"

It's all downhill for Nod from there boys and girls. Very Happy

Nothing like success after 35 minutes of a stalemate. Our team had around 6000 points, of which I had 4300.

INFANTRY GAMES ARE NOT SNIPER GAMES!!!
