I can explain what VPN is and does but not help you setting up the thing.
VPN is "Virtual Privite Networking" which is a direct link to another computer or IP device. You use it to setup a network from your computer to the other computer or device over an existing network such as the internet. You can then comunicate between the two like a local network. It is setup much like a standard dialup connection but connects to an IP not a number.
I assume BR is setup to send the data to BR running on the PC that is linked via VPN. Maybe somone could help you set it up.
