You mentioned you have it reconfigured to a mouse button. Can you try mapping it to a key and see if it is due to that?

As this may fix it if this problem consists of it being on the mouse, and not they keyboard, this should be fixed. 95%, if not more, of the people that use free-aim regularly use it on their mouse.
