I don't believe there was ever a "no rap" rule initiated. Just because you don't like rap doesn't mean that all the rap radio stations are going to go away, does it?

Say what you want about rap, but it is by far THE most profitable music genre - it costs the least to produce and outsells nearly everything else, plus, people who are rap fans tend to be more devoted than fans of artists in other genres. Bottom line, rap is here to stay.

Yeah, while sacrificing the standards for good music with lyrics like "lets smack dat hoe up fuck shit damn now lets go inject ourselves with crack cocaine and pay for some hookerz"

Very few in #n00bstories want rap music on... So it doesn't get played.
