It reads the file name more than likely and not the actual CRC (skins anyway) of the file. I don't know much about RenGuard as the information on how it works is not public. If you think about it. Stealth_Effect.dds (I think that is the SBH skin file if it's the same as the Stank) can't be renemed as it wouldn't work.
