LOL! I ran a pair of those cards (1GB variants) in Crossfire and they managed to heat half my house. But I never had overheating issues with them.

But they're gone, and I have an nVidia GTX 470. It's super nerdtacular! 8]

It might have been a dust issue or something, but one day the fan decided to spin at like 40 rpm top speed and make this horrible grinding noise, and because of the way it was built I couldn't get it open without breaking something undoubtedly vital, so I said fuck it and got a heatsink four times the size of the card with twin fans. I'll be damned if anything is overheating now. >:[

Still quite warm in my room. I guess there's no cure for that, though.

Edit: And what was with that retarded waterdrop shape? >:[
