I think XWIS is doing some changes. I don't know why though. You can no longer delete nicksnames the old way on their site. You can only do it by creating a account there and typing in all the serials you own and it will show you a list of all the nicks on those serials.
I have a total of 4 serials. 3 of them standalone Renegade and 1 TFD. My TFD serial didn't work on their site. So I registered the 3 standalone serials and got rid of so many nicknames and consolidated my nicks. Also to note, all the nicks that I deleted once a upon a time were back there.
And they all have the same alpha-numeric password. You can reset this password anytime on their site.
And with this feature, it seems you don't need to have to change your serial on your installed Renegade to play Ren with a nick that you have registered on another serial.
While all this seems convenient, it seems you cannot register any new nicks so far. I don't know if this will be a problem for any new players.
