When you start losing battlegrounds because your team has mor AFK botters, then yes it does affect other players. When they start flooding the in-game economy with rare items through grinding bots then yes that also could be considered bad. Annoying spam bots... Although not many players will risk losing hundreds of hours of lvling and gearing on cheats because Blizzard doesn't warn, they will just ban without warning.
