I am also running wireless with a router, I don't think it has anything to do with that. I haven't checked wired yet.

I'll be on MSN tonight, but not right now.

hdd = hard disk drive. Normally there's a little led light flashing when the computer accesses the hard disk. hard to describe Razz

What I'm getting at is that it could be something else is using your machine, causing the drops.

Did you also try disabling anti virus + firewalls? You never know.
