The Logitech G5 is still one of the best gaming mouses out there and has seriously dropped in price. I've been using mine for the last 3 years or so. It's truly a great thing!

The mouse you have @ the link looks nice, I haven't had the opportunity to try it yet. However, I have tried a few different mice, including razors (breaks easy) and microsoft (not as comfortable) and I have to say;

Logitech G5 all the way. I had mine for about a year. Still as good as new. Dirt doesn't stick to it like most mice, VERY sturdy, even the cable covering is made of some mesh, so it is resistant to breakage and pulling. 7 usable in-game buttons (+2 sensitivity, can change it on the fly) and the price tag is very nice. I got mine for $35. You can't go wrong with it.

If you have a medium to big hand you will also love its design. I can't recommend this mouse enough.

@JohnDoe -

1) Free aim is very useful and every rene "pro" uses it. Wonder why. Just because you can't use it, doesn't mean its useless, such as the point you made of it.
2) The design of the G5 fits most peoples hands very nicely, read some reviews.
3)The surface for laser (note; NOT optical) mice doesn't really matter, its accurate on almost any surface. Useless point.
4)can change sensitivity on the fly, or can set your sensitivity precisely. Can make it very responsive or unresponsive. (400 to 2000 DPI, and everything in between) Then again, most quality mice can do this. Another useless point imo.
5)I don't see what resolution has to do with anything.
6)He is probably using your average, everyday optical mouse. The G5, being extremely cheap nowadays, is a very good buy, even if to just experience the difference a quality mouse offers over an optical. If he doesn't like it, every electronics store that I know, has return policies, even if for just credit.
