It's an adolescent fairy tale about wizards. Something about twenty and thirty something's getting excited about that sort of thing strikes me as a bit odd, but people in that age group staying up for the midnight showing is even weirder. Maybe it's just me.

meh, I see what you are getting at but for me it's the bigger story I want to get to the end of. Reading the 6th book, I find some parts a bit too silly for a older dude like me to to read (pre-pub teens getting first kiss etc) but I could care less; I read because I just want to know how the big story plays out in the end, who dies, etc etc
