I use the SBH more as a general purpose unit, although I tend to buy the LCG instead where possible. If I had between 400 and 449 credits and needed a good all round weapon immediatly (ie: to defend against an attack on the base), SBH would be my choice.

That said, some players buying an SBH will just sit around the base or field and kill steal or try to nab tanks while the enemy repairs them. While it is possible to steal the occasional tank this way, sitting around waiting for the opportunity is stupid, and its players doing moronic things like this that people hate.

Unfortunatly, because of those morons there is now a stigma attached to using the SBH because the vast majority of people buying them are not going to do anything useful with it.
