It is annoying. The way that it should work is that if you aren't scrolled all the way to the bottom of the chat log, it shouldn't bump you down every time someone posts. But if you are all the way at the bottom (or the newest message) it should automatically scroll when a new message is made.

That's exactly how it works in TT currently. Smile

The chat history key way is of course still possible too.
