I agree, I think if we were taught Latin from a young age other languages like French and Spanish would come more easily. I wish I had learned it sooner, as it has made my grammar and spelling better as well as allowing me to pick apart Romantic languages as I could never do before. While Latin and Greek are "foreign," their usage is very fundamental to our Western identity and does not represent an imposing cultural force.
