how do i get usage of the other weapons in the game? seems like i can only use 2 or 3 different weapons.

If you're playing the game online, walk into a friendly building and upto on of the 'Purchase Terminals' (PT's) and press 'E' on the keyboard.

It'll bring up the purchase screen where you can choose from a selection of infantry/vehicles. Once you have enough cash, just double click the item you wanna buy.

And if you're playing the game in single player, you'll pick up more weapons as you progress through the missions.
