If you build a simple network you can do the same thing. 1 hub with all the other computers wired into it. You can find hubs everywhere. I was using a series of small 4 and 8 port hubs. With my new setup I'm running a dlink with 40 connections or something. Something big. I'm not even using all of it but its way more convenient since its rackmount.

On a 300 foot span I was transferring at close to 50 mb/second. I should be able to get a little more speed if I clean up the wiring a little. I'm getting some interference and must be getting some signal loss.
