Chernobyl has become a place where nature has begun to reclaim one of mankind's biggest fuck-ups. Plant life is growing (not glowing), and it's an area where the endangered Przewalski's Horse is thriving.
In terms of radiation and such, it's really quite safe now. The biggest worries are dust, and so vehicles have to travel a couple hundred feet behind each other so the occupants don't breathe it in.
