Not sure. I would personally recommend DirectConnect if you're a regular on a certain server (which I seem to recall you are).

Also, The Renguard installer creates game2.exe by renaming it from game.exe (the original Renegade) such that all the old shortcuts work.

Renguard is a wonderful initiative
