Yeah, Renegade crashes on exit. Nothing new. Either use task manager or the "Exit" console command whilst in a game.

Some time ago I found out that if you install Renegade before Windows XP SP2 this problem doesn't occur.
So XP--> SP1--> Renegade-->Sp2-->other updates.
To decrease Renegade crashing you can turn details all to low and resolution. But alot of people don't find this playable.
And I guess the exit command is only supported if you install addons into Renegade? eg corepatch or whatever its called.
