As for the question goes:
It is a question of what you view these forums as. Do you view them as belonging to the community or the people who own the forums?
Honestly, I want to say that it belongs to the community, but none of us are supporting the forums. If we want to have a say, then we should all completely support these forums.
If Crimson were to agree to it, I think she should let people know roughly what she spends a month on the bills, and then people collectively pay that. Then the ones who donate, would then be given "votes" (based on how much you donate). Only then should we be able to be guaranteed a say in the moderation and administration.
Of course, this would be ONLY if and when Crimson would agree to this proposition. Until then, it sounds completely absurd to expect that she gives up partial control to the collective users of these forums if we have no contributions towards the hosting.
whoa.
