What FPS are you hoping to achieve with that card? What is your definition of CoD4/Crysis running good with that card? What is CoD4's graphics, texture, AA and AS settings?

Granted, Renegade should not be lagging with that card as it should be within it's range. But turn off AA and AS in Renegade, it does not give you a FPS increase, in fact it does the opposite, drops me from 130 FPS to around 90 FPS. AA/AS and color depth adds in extra rendering, I don't know how you can say it's giving you better FPS when your GPU's need to render a little more Dont Get It

NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS
Core Clock: 450 MHz
Memory Clock: 1320 MHz
Memory: 256 MB GDDR3
Memory interface: 256-bit

Only thing I would suggest is you update your graphics card drivers and hope that fixes it. Also, make sure you also have Vsync turned off using the BHS.dll options. 256MB of vram should be more then enough to run Renegade at 1024x768 on high. Little concerned about you saying CoD4 runs good on it though, let alone Crysis. That card is way low end and below each games minimum specs.

If updating your drivers doesn't help, set the games setting to low, and crank up the individual graphics options slowly and try to gauge where you can run the game with decent performance at. If your dropping below 30 FPS in a huge fight, take the settings down.
