No need to fully disable it, XP is quite flexible, and I used a custom installer with shitloads of options, auto update off, but I still update ofcoure, no reason not too. No WGA stuff since 6months ago, so Ive been fine In Love

Tbh, Microsoft does a good overall job at keeping their stuff secure, Im sure people who paid for XP wouldn't agree, but with just windows update, the windows firewall, and a router, im running 100% atm In Love
