Yeah you need an IEEE 1394 Firewire port for the video. Sound Blaster Audigy cards have one built into them but you can probably pick up a Firewire card for under $20 from an e-tailer or maybe your locak PC hardware store. Also another thing use a small cable and not a long one as the transfer rate will be much higher when transfering video. You should have a little tiny slot on your video recorder arounf 8mm by 2mm that accepts a firewire lead. It runs over 400 Megabits a second compared to 11 Megabits on USB 1.1
I would have thought if it was a newer model it would have USB 2.0 support as that has a high transfer rate over USB 1.1 and is capable for the transfer of big data.
