The basic problem in America is that there is a large group of conservatives with a lot of power (political power, lobbying power, the power to convince people to boycott certain companies etc) and these conservatives (which in some cases is allied with various Christian church groups) think that anything vaguely pornographic or sexual has to be banned. Ergo, the various stakeholders have effectively banned this stuff (with the ESRB giving most pornographic or sexual content an AO rating and then stores generally refusing to carry AO rated games for fear of boycotts etc)

Wow, how can you be so wrong, yet think you're so right?

It's not just the fucking conservatives doing the censoring. Even as a Republican, I was against censoring. Ever hear of Political Correctness? That's a type of censoring spearheaded by the left. If anything, liberals are the driving force behind these censoring organizations. Sure, there are Christians and right-wing nutjobs like Jack Thompson who are pushing for more censorship, but it's still a majority of liberals doing this.
