Another option, which I found REALLY helped-
Go to your task menu, (Alt. Cntrl. Dlt)
Delete all the tasks you know that arent needed for the system.



Um.... that may cause some really fucked up lock-ups. Considering most people have no idea which tasks belongs to which program.



I have to agree. I do manual registry cleaning and the guys at Microsoft name them really weirdly, so i delete them thinking they're just junk. Next think i know i have no explorer.

If you don't know what you're doing when it comes to advanced stuff like that don't even try it.
