The thing is, even with such a supercomputer, I don't think the machines we create will ever rise up against us. But they sure as hell can be a threat to our jobs.

They will make the need for human input in decision-making obsolete. If a computer can think better than humans, then it will conquer, for example, the business world and all the decision-making processes that goes along with it.
