Im pretty sure the banshee is what HTML god asked me to make the bombs for the y-wing look like. for that i took a single image like so:
index.php?t=getfile&id=3052&private=0

Make three intersecting planes:

index.php?t=getfile&id=3053&private=0

Add the texture and set its shader to "screen":
