Well I just finished reading the Wikipedia article and one line in particular stands out:
Quote: | One of the last games released by Westwood, Command & Conquer: Renegade (an action game which mixed elements from first-person shooters and real-time strategy games) failed to meet consumer expectations and commercial goals Westwood and EA had set for it.
|
I might have to modify that.
Oh I can't, well I was just going to make it say, "One of the last games released by Westwood, Command & Conquer: Renegade (an action game which mixed elements from first-person shooters and real-time strategy games) although it meet consumer expectations, it failed to meet the extremely high commercial requirements that EA had set for Westwood."
I hope EA regrets their decision every day, beings all their sports games ultra suck.
So Westwood's team reformed to create Petroglyph, I probably would have never guessed, I suppose they now know to stay far away form EA, I wish them luck.
